directed by Álvaro Viguera

The play lungs presents a current text that look into the environmental crisis of the planet. I find it disturbing that through a couple who assess whether or not to have a child due to the situation of the environment, the viewer can access to watch with an overwhelming awareness and a terrifying lucidity the world we inhabit. Lungs is a sharp narrative full of questions about the human being and his silent habits.

This play at times seems like a perfect comedy by Woody Allen, in which you can laugh and cry at the same with the story of a couple in an imperfect world. In “Lungs” a couple of young people are still trying to discover if their love survives everything: irregular weather, political instability … A baby? Are we fit to have a child? Is it possible to be selfish while still being a good person? Perfection really exist?
